EV Compound is an information service. We collect only what we need to run your subscription and deliver tips, and we never sell your data. This policy explains what we hold and why.
1. Who we are
EV Compound ("EV Compound", "we", "us") operates the website at evcompound.com and the associated subscription tipping service. We are based in Australia and handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
2. Information we collect
We collect:
- Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Subscription & billing — your plan, status, and billing history. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Preferences — settings such as your unit/bet size and notification choices.
- Telegram — if you connect Telegram to receive alerts, your Telegram user/handle so we can deliver messages.
- Usage & technical data — log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and to improve the service.
- Communications — messages you send us (e.g. support emails).
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- create and manage your account and subscription;
- deliver tips, alerts, and service notifications;
- process payments, refunds, and the losing-month guarantee;
- provide support and respond to your enquiries;
- maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal obligations;
- improve and develop the service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you subscribe, your card details are collected and stored by Stripe under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS compliance. We receive only limited information such as your subscription status and the last digits/brand of your card for support purposes.
5. Third parties we share data with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run EV Compound, under confidentiality obligations:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — to operate the website, database, and application;
- Telegram — to deliver alerts you have opted into;
- Email provider — to send account and service emails.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may prevent you from logging in.
7. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and restricted access to systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.
9. Your rights
You can access or correct your personal information from your account settings, or by contacting us. You may request a copy of the information we hold, ask us to correct it, or request deletion of your account. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
10. Age restriction
EV Compound is strictly for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you by email.
